Arrow Media and Cantina Media Wrap Production on Toronto Airport Uncovered

Commissioned by National Geographic (US & eMeA) and Corus entertainment (Canada), and secured by SBS Australia as a presale, the 10×60′ high-access series offers a rare look inside a major international airport

(November 20, 2025 - London, UK and Toronto, Canada) Arrow Media and Cantina Media, a Serial Maven Studios production company, today announced that production has wrapped on Toronto Airport Uncovered, a new 10×60′ premium factual series, offering unprecedented access inside Canada’s largest and busiest travel hub, Toronto Pearson International Airport. The United Kingdom/Canada treaty co-production has been commissioned by National Geographic for the US, and EMEA and Corus Entertainment for Canada, with SBS Australia boarding as a presale partner. Serial Maven Studios has secured international distribution rights for the series and will debut the title at upcoming global content markets in 2025-2026.

For the first time, Toronto Pearson International Airport has granted a documentary team full access to film its 24/7 operation. Shot across two seasons, the production captures rare access to over 30 operational zones, including airside coordination, emergency response teams, command centres, winter operations, security intelligence and the complex logistics that support tens of millions of passengers each year.

Toronto Airport Uncovered pulls viewers into a high-stakes world rarely seen on camera, where extreme weather, mechanical challenges and minute-by-minute decision-making collide with the pressure to keep the airport, and the global connections it enables, moving.

Toronto Airport Uncovered is a United Kingdom/Canada treaty co-production between Cantina Media and Arrow Media. Executive Producers are Michael Kot and Betty Orr for Cantina Media; and Tom Brisley for Arrow Media. Nick Metcalfe is Showrunner. Overseeing production on behalf of National Geographic is Sarah Peat, Commissioning Executive Producer, National Geographic. For Corus Entertainment, Lynne Carter is Director of Original Programming and Rachel Nelson is Vice-President of Original Programming and Head of Corus Studios.
